About Me

Dr. Cortney Mospan joined Wingate University School of Pharmacy in 2016. Before this, she served as an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at East Tennessee State University. She is originally from Akron, Ohio. Dr. Mospan completed a PGY-1 Community Care Pharmacy Practice Residency at The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy with practice sites at the Ohio Pharmacists Association and Uptown Pharmacy.

Dr. Mospan developed a love for community pharmacy practice working at a local grocery store during high school. She realized the profound impact community pharmacists have on a patient’s health as a trusted part of that patient’s community. She coordinates both semesters of the Top 200 Course and the pharmacy management course. Dr. Mospan is active within the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists, American Pharmacists Association, American Academy of Colleges of Pharmacy, National Community Pharmacists Association, and the North Carolina Pharmacists Association. She also serves as co-editor of the Nonprescription Drugs Quick Reference Guide.

Dr. Mospan chose a career in academia because of the profound impact of pharmacy faculty and mentors on her professional development. She hopes to inspire her students to be change agents for their profession and their patients.

In her spare time, Dr. Mospan enjoys baking, traveling, reading, and serving her community with her husband.
