About Me

In July of 2015, I came to Wingate University after 12 years in the academy as a pharmacy practice faculty member. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Robert Smith and Auburn University Harrison School of Pharmacy for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to practice, teach and mentor the pharmacists of tomorrow.

So, why leave that aspect of the academy and enter into administration? The answer is as simple as the reason I chose to go into the academy in the first place: to achieve a higher calling. While I could have continued along the path I had chosen 12 years ago, I felt a pull to do greater things. I enjoyed teaching and mentoring students, but in order to help the school and the profession move forward, this career change was something I felt the great urge to pursue. Teaching and mentoring are undoubtedly my passions, and now I have the opportunity to share that passion, my experiences, with the faculty whom I work with daily. It is my ultimate goal to help them, and the Hendersonville campus of Wingate University, achieve greatness.
