About Me

Originally from Concord, NC, I attended Western Carolina University and majored in Communications and with a concentration in Public Relations. I was highly involved on campus and found my passion for higher education while at WCU. I went on to attend the University of West Florida in Pensacola, FL to earn my Masters of Education in College Student Personnel Administration. After graduation, I moved to Bozeman, Montana to work at Montana State University as a Resident Director for a year and then served the University of Alabama in Huntsville for four years to work as a Resident Director. I found my home at Wingate as an Assistant Director of Residence Life & Involvement in June 2016.

I believe in the experience we provide through residence life: creating a valuable experience for our students. Leadership development and team development are high-value passions of mine, along with creating a family and home environment for our staff and students.

I live in Wingate with my husband, Kris, and our two dogs, Roskie and Charlotte. I’m an avid sports fan – especially the Carolina Panthers! I find peace in graphic design, love to travel and spend time with my family. I can spend days going through consignment shops and redecorating my house!
