About Me

Laura grew up in Charlotte and has enjoyed 20+ years of managing the visual and performing arts across the country. She has managed National Historic Landmark theaters in New York and Georgia as well as university presenting programs at Washington University and the University of Cincinnati. Classically trained in piano and voice, she graduated from Wake Forest University and completed her Master of Arts degree coursework in Arts Administration at the University of Cincinnati College – Conservatory of Music.

Laura directs The Batte Center department, which manages the university performance facilities and works closely with campus and community to stage about 700+ events a year, ranging from speakers to plays and concerts. Each year, the department serves more than 90,000 visitors and presents a dynamic array of world-class artists in The Batte Presents series, which she has curated and managed since 2011.
