About the Adult Bachelor's Degree Program
If you’d like to start or complete your college career as an adult, our program is designed with you in mind. Adult learners often attend classes while juggling a full-time job and family responsibilities. On-line classes accommodate your busy schedule.
Most students take two courses per session (including summer) so that they can complete their degree in the shortest time possible. However, this isn’t an accelerated degree program. Your degree is comparable to a traditional four-year program. In addition, you may be able to apply previously earned and eligible college credits toward a Wingate University degree.

Community College Partnerships and the Gateway Scholarship
A bachelor’s degree is an important investment in your future. We know time and money are at a premium. That’s why we designed this opportunity for you. Eligible candidates who are accepted to the Adult Bachelor of Liberal Studies (BLS) program can complete a bachelor’s degree at Wingate for $2,500 per year or less. Qualifications include:
- You have earned or will have earned your associate’s degree from South Piedmont Community College, Stanly Community College or Central Piedmont Community College
- You have applied and been admitted to Wingate University’s Adult Bachelors of Liberal Studies (BLS) program
- You are an adult student who is 24 years or older and are pursuing the Adult Bachelor’s of Liberal Studies program (100% online)
