"My experiences in Wingate's OTD program have given me the skills I need to be a confident entry-level occupational therapist. Throughout the program, I have learned a great deal about the value of reflection in developing clinical reasoning and leadership skills. As someone who values leadership, I found opportunities to be a leader among my peers and within our community here at Wingate throughout my time in the program. I have also had the opportunity to enhance my skills as a scholarly writer and evidence-based practitioner by conducting a research study. I was even able to submit a manuscript for publication with the help of our program director, Dr. Melissa Sweetman, PhD, OTD, OTR/L, CLA. I look forward to continuing my work at Wingate as I complete my doctoral capstone at the university."
