Public Health Advantage

What are the benefits?

  • Earn a four-year bachelor's and a two-year master's degree in just five years on this accelerated track.
  • You'll have a competitive edge in the public health/healthcare workforce by holding dual degrees.
  • Once you graduate, you'll be able to sit for the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) exam.
  • Community-based laboratory learning

Once you’ve enrolled in Wingate’s bachelor’s program, you can apply to 4+1 the semester before starting your senior year (typically spring of junior year). Application deadlines are April 1 and Nov. 1. Admission criteria for early entry into the master’s program:

  • Complete a minimum of 90 credit hours by end of junior year.
  • GPA of 3.25 or higher on public health major coursework as identified in the Academic Catalog.
  • Able to articulate Statement of Intent for enrolling.
  • GRE is waived for Wingate University Bachelor's of Science in Public Health students
