Unity House Multicultural Center
The Unity House Multicultural Center is a prime example of how Wingate University collaborates with students, faculty, staff and the community to promote an inclusive, diverse and equitable learning environment.
To enhance a culture of inclusion, we coordinate transformative programs and trainings to foster open dialogue that addresses diversity and equity. Our goal is to create learning opportunities that reflect the experiences of under-represented communities in an effort to move toward a more just society.
Wingate's Unity House Multicultural Center is on North Main Street. New this fall, the Unity House is designed as a haven for under-represented students, a place for them to get cultural and personal support and to develop their leadership skills. The house features a conference room, study lounges and a kitchen as well as outside spaces for events.

Sororities and Fraternities
The Office of Multicultural Programming advises and supports historically Black fraternities and sororities, commonly referred to as the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC). The National
Pan-Hellenic Council is the governing body to 4 active African American fraternities and sororities at the university.

A bias incident is an incident in which an individual or group of individuals demonstrate hate and/or prejudices towards another individual or group of individuals based on the following protected categories. Race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, and/or veteran status. This is not an exhausted list of characteristics of bias and discrimination.
