Wingate's 6th Annual Piano Competition
Wingate University's Annual Piano Competition is entering its 6th year, and we're live! We are so excited to hear all of the wonderful pianists in our area, and thrilled to be attracting attention from the surrounding regions as well. The competition will take place on Wingate University's beautiful campus, in the George A. Batte Fine Arts Center Recital Hall.
We are offering cash prizes from our sponsors and exciting scholarships for study at Wingate University. In addition to these prizes, the 1st and 2nd place high school winners are invited to receive two free lessons with Wingate's piano professor, Dr. David Brooks, while the 1st and 2nd place middle school winners receive one free lesson each. These lessons will be offered either virtually or in person in the Recital Hall in the George A. Batte Fine Arts Center on Wingate University's campus.
Repertoire Requirements
High School Submissions
Please select three contrasting pieces from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Contemporary classical repertoire.
Middle School Submissions
Please select two contrasting pieces from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Contemporary classical repertoire.
