At Wingate University, we’re proud of our beautiful and active campus. We hope you’ll love it too.
It’s only fitting that the Old Well Spring is one of the newer structures on campus. The brick monument, with its golden dome, stands in the center of our 400-acre campus, where old and new brick buildings stand side by side.
Burris, one of the oldest buildings on campus and home to the Cannon College of Arts & Sciences, faces the Academic Quadrangle, or Quad, the picture-perfect expanse of lush lawn and trees where Spring Commencement takes place. Old and new academic buildings and residence halls surround the Quad, and the performing arts facilities and more residence halls are a short walk away.
Head to the eastern side of campus to find the Bulldogs playing sports. Cannon Athletic Complex is home to the Wingate Bulldog basketball and volleyball teams as well as the School of Sport Sciences. The baseball, football, softball and other fields are a quick stroll away too.
But the Bulldogs who suit up aren’t the only ones who can find places to play on campus. All students can join games on the intramural field and disc golf course near the athletic fields. Students who would rather play pool or ping-pong, or just hang out, head to the nearby Dickson-Palmer student center, next door to the campus dining halls.
