Officers
The Wingate University Black Alumni Association (WUBAA) was founded in 2018 by Wingate graduate and Board of Trustee, Johnny L. Tillett ’84. As a star student-athlete from North Carolina’s outer banks, Johnny credits his time on the basketball team and his Wingate education for opening up countless opportunities throughout his career.
Based in Raleigh, NC, he has been recognized during his government relations career as one of the top lobbyists at the North Carolina General Assembly. As a passionate alumnus, Johnny launched a community that creates a sense of belonging and connection. Johnny’s dedication, along with other Wingate alumni, inspires them to give back to their University, through service, engagement, and philanthropy.
