Students who wish to pursue a professional career in business choose the experiential-focused Master of Arts in Accounting (MAC) degree. Housed with the Porter B. Byrum School of Business, located on the Wingate, NC campus, this program is designed for those who look to become financial executives. The state-of-the-art Finance Lab gives students hands-on experience and knowledge of the latest software programs used in the field. MAC graduates have attained a 100% pass rate on their licensing exams for the past four years.
Designed for adult students in the Charlotte area, our MBA program prepares you for a career in business. Students are offered a choice of six concentration areas to develop specialized career skills and knowledge. A real-world focus means a curriculum that leverages case study analysis and practical applications to understand the challenges of business in the 21st century.
The oldest of the graduate degree programs, Wingate University serves students who are pursuing advanced degrees in teaching and leadership. Recognizing that the majority of our students are working adults, classes meet either on weekends or weeknights on the Wingate University Ballantyne campus. Small group, discussion-focused classes ensure individual attention from faculty who are active within the profession.
Extensive hands-on experience with more time on rotation in the P4 year, the Wingate University School of Pharmacy prepares graduates to step into their career as soon as they graduate. For those students who are interested in postgraduate pharmacy training, the School of Pharmacy places graduates in a number of outstanding programs around the country. We also offer two postgraduate training programs: Medical Information Fellowship and the Ambulatory Care Residency. Our graduates attain a 96.9% pass rate on their licensing exam when they take it for the first time.
The doctoral degree program in physical therapy is a three-year program offered on the Wingate campus. The experiential approach includes a dedicated Human Anatomy Lab and 43 weeks of hands-on training in a variety of clinical settings. The program also offers a Neurologic Residency for those interested in postgraduate work.
The Physician Assistant Studies program is a continuous 27-month master’s degree program leading to the MPAS degree. Students may for admission to either the Hendersonville or the Wingate campus program. Synchronous distance learning is used for courses for both locations, ensuring students have complete access to the entire faculty. Graduates of the program pass their PANCE licensing exam on their first time at a rate of 97%, which is above the national average.
Experiential learning opportunities and practical experience offer those pursuing a career in sport management the skills necessary to take their career to the next level. Designed for working adults, the master’s degree program prepares graduates to work behind the scenes in the front office of a professional franchise. Located on the Ballantyne campus, students gain first-hand knowledge from faculty and industry professionals who provide insight into the real-world challenges of professional sports.
