Are you looking for a fulfilling career? Are you considering a physician assistant program? We offer one in Wingate and one in Hendersonville, NC.
The Harris Department of Physician Assistant Studies admits students to its programs on two campuses. Like the School of Pharmacy, the Wingate University Physician Assistant program enrolls 40 students on our Wingate campus and 10 students for our Hendersonville campus. And, as with all of our graduate programs, the PA program has been granted accreditation by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA). More importantly, 97 percent of our graduates pass their licensing exam the first time they take it. That’s above the national average.
This program trains students to become valued healthcare providers. To do this, the comprehensive didactic instruction follows the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) curriculum blueprint. This helps us meet our goal of maintaining first-time PANCE pass rates at or above the national average.
Our program features 10 clinical rotations to ensure that theoretical knowledge and hands-on learning mesh smoothly. In fact, the second year of study is focused on clinical work to ensure our graduates are job ready when they graduate.
Are you ready to explore more about what Wingate University has to offer you? We invite you to visit us on either campus or to email us if you have questions. We look forward to welcoming you to our next cohort.
