Our graduate education leadership degree prepares you to be more than a principal. It prepares you to be a leader, master teacher and researcher.
Do you want to lead a North Carolina public K-12 school as its principal? Our Master of Arts in Education in Educational Leadership can prepare you for this demanding role.
Classes for the education leadership degree are held in the evenings on the Wingate University – Ballantyne campus. To earn the degree, you’ll take 37 semester hours of 500- and 600-level courses that focus on topics that matter most to principals:
After finishing your coursework, you spend a total of 475 hours completing field experiences and internships to apply your classroom learning to actual school settings. The leadership portfolio you submit at the end of the program ties your research, coursework and field experiences together. Our education leadership degree students have up to six years from the time they’re accepted into the program to complete it.
