It takes more than anatomy and biology to be an excellent nurse. Our Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree is built on Wingate University’s principles of Faith, Knowledge and Service.

2 nursing students practice the right way to transfer a patient from one bed to anotherWhile our program is scholarly and science-based, it also focuses on reasoning, caring and the importance of community involvement. When you turn the tassel on your cap, we want you to:

  • Feel confident taking the NCLEX-RN.
  • Make decisions using quantitative reasoning skills.
  • Provide compassionate care to patients.
  • Work well with diverse groups of people.

Many students know exactly what they want to do with a nursing degree. Once you pass the NCLEX-RN licensure exam, you may plan to work as a trauma nurse or school nurse. Or perhaps you’ve set your sights on the Nursing Honors Program, followed by an advanced degree. Whatever your career plans, we can help you navigate your education.

Our class sizes are small, so our faculty really gets to know you and your goals. Additionally, we work closely with two area hospitals and the community, so you get the insight and clinical experience you need to succeed in nursing.
