Wingate Information Technology Services (ITS) provides IT technical support for all students, faculty and staff. Wingate ITS also provides strategic technology advising and support for all departments to enable innovative solutions to support the mission of Wingate University.
We're supporting Wingate's strategic plan by enabling the innovative use of technology.
Wingate ITS supports students, faculty, staff and visitors at all three campuses: Wingate, Ballantyne and Hendersonville.

Accounts & Passwords
Wingate uses AD Self Service to manage your user ID and password. You can reset your password and unlock your account but you must first enroll in the AD Self Service.
1) Enroll in AD Self Service: Before you use AD Self Service to change your password or unlock your account you must enroll in the service. Click on Enroll in AD Self Service, log in, the click into registration. You will be asked to select two security questions and provide answers for each. You will use the answers to these questions should you be unable to log-in and need to reset your password or unlock your account.

If you haven't yet enrolled in AD Self Service and you cannot log-in because you have forgotten your password, your password has expired or your account is locked, you will need to request a password by filling out the following form.
If the form does not appear, you can click here. Please note that for security reasons this form can take between twenty-four hours and two business days to process. Alumni who are not currently Wingate faculty, staff, or students should go to the next item.
Alumni, click here: Alumni who are not currently enrolled or employed by Wingate who have either forgotten or need to change their passwords should use this form. If you are currently a Wingate student, faculty, or staff member, please use the reset form above.
Passwords must...
- Be at least 12 characters long
- Include 4 of the 5
- Lower case letters
- Upper case letters
- Numbers
- Special characters, such as !, @, #, $, %, or &
Passwords cannot
- Be something you have used before

Printing
Cloud-based printing is available across Wingate's campus. Service is provided using PaperCut's Find-me Printing - Print to a single global queue and collect at any PaperCut-enabled printer on campus.
Getting started: Install the PaperCut print drivers on your computer. Installation instructions
Wireless & Wired Network Connection: Printing works when ethernet connected (wired) directly to your computer as well as the secure campus wireless networks. Printing is not enabled on GUEST and non-secure wireless networks.
Secure wireless networks that support printing:
- WU-USERS (Academic & Administrative buildings and McGee Center)
Wireless networks that do not support printing:
- WU-GUEST (Academic & Administrative buildings and McGee Center)
- WU-RESNET & WU-RESNET-SECURE (Residential Buildings)
Log on to the computer you're printing from: You must be logged into the computer you're working on for your print job to be released.
Check your print balance: (login using your WingNet user ID & password)
WiFi
Secure wireless networks that support printing:
- WU-USERS (Academic & Administrative buildings and McGee Center)
- Log in using your Wingate user id & password.
Wireless networks that do not support printing:
- WU-GUEST (Academic & Administrative buildings and McGee Center)

Log into Office 365 and sign in with your Wingate user ID and password.
Wingate also provides all students with Google's G Suite. This includes email as well as cloud-based storage for your files via Google Drive.
Anti-virus
Wingate ITS installs TrendMicro's anti-virus protection on all University-owned PCs.
If you bring your own device (BYOD) to work, you'll need an anti-virus program to access the network. Plus, you should have one installed anyway.
The following companies have 2 great solutions that are free to install and use.
Lab & Library reference computers
Don't have a computer or just need to access your Wingate Google drive account to access a file? Just stop by one of several computer labs across campus.
You're also able to print to any of the cloud-based printers across campus from these computers.
