Wingate University’s business management program has been named one of the best in the nation in terms of value for money, according to College Factual. The data-analytics firm ranked the program second in North Carolina, out of 27, and among the top 10 percent of colleges and universities in the nation (No. 45 out of 711 programs) in its “Best for the Money” category.
“These rankings are a testimony to the hard work and dedication of the business faculty to our students,” says Sergio Castello, interim dean of Wingate’s Porter B. Byrum School of Business. “As a department, we feel we are fulfilling Wingate's mission to provide an education that is both high-quality and affordable, providing an opportunity for all students to succeed.”
Business has long been one of the most popular fields of study at Wingate. Management is currently one of the four most popular majors at the University, alongside nursing, biology and psychology.
Wingate’s program moved up 94 spots in the national rankings over the previous year and moved up from No. 5 to No. 2 in the state rankings.
To compile its list, College Factual takes into account average yearly cost of the school, average time students take to graduate and the quality of the education provided.
