Wingate ranked in top 25 in the South

by WU News

Wingate University has been named one of the top 25 regional universities in the South. Wingate is tied for No. 23 on the list with three other schools, out of a total of 99 colleges and universities.

The list is compiled by College Consensus, which aggregates rankings from U.S. News and World Report, Forbes, WalletHub and others to come up with a publisher’s consensus and then balances that out by averaging student reviews from other sites.

On the national list, which includes regional and national universities, Wingate checks in at No. 11 in North Carolina, ahead of N.C. State University, Campbell University, Queens University and others. College Consensus touts North Carolina as one of the most competitive higher-education environments in the country.

“North Carolina has entered the 21st century as one of the most promising states in the US, with a growing population and growing wealth and influence, and its model colleges and universities deserve a great deal of gratitude,” the website states.

Wingate is also ranked in the top third out of 1,062 colleges and universities nationally.
