Wingate University welcomes students from around the world. Find out more about how you can join our international community.

You can apply as an international student if all of the following are true:

  1.  You’re a non-U.S. citizen.
  2.  There are at least 30 days until the first day of class at Wingate University.
  3.  You already have a passport.

If you answered “yes” to all of the above, you may apply as an international student now. If you answered “no” to the first question, please proceed to the freshman or transfer sections of the website. If you answered “no” to the second or third question, you may need to apply for a later semester to allow enough processing time for your enrollment.

The Story, not Statistics

When our enrollment officers make admissions decisions, they look at the whole picture. This means potential students are evaluated on more than relevant academic standards. We want to get to know you and your story. If in doubt, apply and allow us to work together to find the best fit for you.

Study Options

Spanning undergraduate and graduate study, Wingate’s academic majors and programs cover everything from traditional humanities to pre-professional tracks. These are some of our most popular majors:

An Affordable Education

Financial aid is available for international students, with eligibility determined by the information submitted on the Financial Responsibility Form. The cost of a Wingate University education is competitive with public post-secondary institutions. The Wingate Pledge promises that undergraduates who follow the curriculum and maintain a minimum GPA will graduate in four years, ensuring a more affordable education. Although we are a private university, 95 percent of incoming students receive financial aid, and all admitted students are considered automatically for scholarships. What’s more, health insurance is only $1,300 a year for non-athletes. To get started, tell us about your specific situation and let us help you figure out costs.
