FERPA protects your financial aid information. You need to know what that means.

The Federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) protects the privacy of a student’s educational records. This protection also includes their information regarding financial aid. While FERPA allows students access to their educational records, it also governs who else can access their records, including parents.

Financial aid information is accessible only to you, the student, unless a completed FERPA waiver is on file.
