Campus Recreation meets your fitness needs in facilities you’ll love. Outdoors, we have sand volleyball courts, a swimming pool, disc golf and an intramural athletic field. The McGee Center, at the center of the main campus, provides 80,000 square feet of indoor space devoted to fitness and recreation.

McGee Center hours Fall 2017 (Begins 8/20)

  • Mondays-Thursdays: 6:30 a.m. – 11 p.m.
  • Fridays: 6:30 a.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Saturdays: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Sundays:  Noon – 11 p.m.

The two-story McGee Center opened in 2017. Amenities include:

  • A multipurpose activity court
  • A suspended running track
  • Areas for weight and cardio training
  • Racquetball courts
  • Spacious locker rooms
  • Two basketball courts
  • Two fitness studios

Male student lifting weights at McGee CenterWingate University students, faculty and staff can use the McGee Center at no charge. A WU ID card is required to enter. There is a fee for an optional towel service and to work with a personal fitness trainer.
