Looking for IT help for new students on campus? You’ve come to the right place.

Welcome to campus! We know that the first question most people have in a new place is finding out the name of the Wi-Fi network. Then they want to know how to connect to it. Below you’ll find the answers to these questions. We’ve also got links to help with other issues that might arise with your mobile devices.

Wireless Locations

Our wireless Internet access or Wi-Fi is available in most of the academic and administrative buildings, residence halls and apartments on campus.

Connecting to Wi-Fi in Residential Areas

There are two Wi-Fi networks available in the residential areas. Follow these directions if you’re connecting with a mobile device: 1. WU-RESNET is an unsecured wireless connection. We recommend that you don’t access any confidential personal information using this network. To access this network:

  • Connect to the network WU-RESNET using your mobile device.
  • Enter the password.*

2. WU-RESNET Secure is a secured wireless connection. We recommend that you use this network when access confidential personal information. To access this network:

  • Connect to the network WU-RESNET-SECURE using your mobile device.
  • Enter the password.*

Connecting to Wi-Fi in Academic and Administrative Areas

All academic and administrative buildings have secure wireless access to the campus network. There are two Wi-Fi networks available to students in these areas. Follow these instructions if you are connecting a mboile device: 1. WINGATE-GUEST is for personal notebook computers and mobile devices; students cannot print using university resources from this network. To access this network:

  • Connect to the network named WINGATE-GUEST using your mobile device.
  • Enter the password.*

2. WINGATE-WIFI is for personal notebook computers and mobile devices; students may print using university resources while on this network. To access this network:

  • Connect to the network named WINGATE-WIFI using your mobile device.
  • Enter the password.*

Connecting to Wi-Fi Using an Apple Device
