As a new international student, you might have questions about many things here on campus. The following procedures and services help you prepare for your arrival and academic pursuits.

Pre-departure Checklist

If you have any questions about these items, please feel free to contact us.

  • Pay your enrollment deposit.
This required $300 deposit reserves your enrollment at Wingate University. Once you send your deposit, we send your Wingate University account information and a link to a personalized checklist.
  • Submit your completed Financial Responsibility Form and supporting documents.
Financial aid is available to international students upon completion of this form.
  • Apply for your U.S. visa or get your visa transferred.
Upon positive review of your Financial Responsibility Form, Wingate University issues you an I-20. Please follow these regulations for obtaining student F-1 status and apply for your visa at the nearest U.S. Embassy. International visitors on B1/B2 tourist visas are not allowed to study at Wingate University. You must apply for the F1 student visa.

If you already hold a student visa, please complete Wingate University’s Visa Status Form.

Collect your immunization records and submit them as requested on campus.
