Internships = real-world experience.
An undergraduate internship is a great way to test-drive your career choice while you’re still a student. Today’s internships offer a taste of the real world. Wingate University marketing majors have interned with the Charlotte Hornets, and psychology majors have worked at local counseling centers. We support you as you search for the right opportunity for your career goals.
Experience for Credit
Beyond the value of real-life experience, internships can carry academic credit. All internships are different. Your professors and employers have specific requirements regarding academic credit hours and how much time you’re expected to work. Your faculty internship supervisor, site supervisor and our office can support you as you work toward designing an internship experience that can be approved for academic credit.
Find the Right Internship Opportunity
Check with your faculty adviser for internship opportunities in your major. The career services staff can support you as you seek one that’s right for you. We offer assistance with résumés and interviews to prepare you for your internship search.
Step out of the classroom and into hands-on experience. You’ll be glad you did.
