According to the Cooperative Institutional Research Program, 96 percent of first-year students entering Wingate in 2017 said the University's good academic reputation was important or very important in their decision to attend Wingate.

Wingate students can earn a master of arts in sport management in just three semesters, from wherever they are. The new online program will retain its hands-on focus and offer concentrations in sport marketing and in athletic administration and compliance.

When Wingate’s Dr. Brandy Clemmer read Hendley’s book and heard him speak in the fall of 2013, as part of a University-wide reading experience, she was moved.

Florida State’s Mike Martin, the winningest Division I coach in college baseball history, attended Wingate Junior College before earning his bachelor’s degree at FSU. He won Wingate University’s 2004 Distinguished Alumnus Award.
